Vlad Sklyar, Ph.D. is President of GTI. He is the principal inventor/developer of the gyrotron beam technologies, and the innovative GLS autoclave-free glass lamination system fort GTI. In his career, spanning over thirty years, he has held a pivotal role in the creation and commercialization of numerous cutting-edge industrial technologies. Prior to founding the Company in 1998, he held a senior position at a leading scientific institute in the former USSR, was a consultant working at Los Alamos National Lab with the Department of Energy, and at the Naval Research Lab in Washington . He was awarded the prestigious State Prize, one of the highest awards for scientific achievements and their commercialization in the former Soviet Union. A true renaissance man with accomplishments in politics, business and science, Dr. Sklyar is also a member of the Company’s Board of Directors.

Lian Sawires serves as the Company’s Vice President and Corporate Secretary. Ms. Sawires has a background both as an entrepreneur and a corporate executive and has extensive and diversified experience in business development, operations, training, and management technology. Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Sawires held positions of increasing responsibility for a national management training organization and has founded and developed several companies. She holds a BBA from Hofstra University.

Mr. Frese has more than 30 years of broad experience in the automotive, chemical, laboratory instrumentation and software sectors. His global experience encompasses general management, business and product application development, sales and operations management and acquisition integration. Mr. Frese began his career in material development engineering at General Motors. He joined Air Products and Chemicals in a product application sales position and progressed through a variety of international positions of increasing responsibility in marketing, country management and acquisition integration. Mr. Frese was graduated from the University of Michigan and from the University of Detroit. He received a BSc in engineering and a MBA in finance.

Michael Shevelev, Ph.D. is the Company’s Technology Director. He is a technical projects manager with seventeen years’ experience in the physics of gyrotron/materials interaction, commercialization and technical team leadership. Dr. Shevelev participated as a team member with Dr. Sklyar’s original gyrotron research team. Following this, Dr. Shevelev headed up the Microwave Processing Department of the Paton Welding Institute in Kiev, Ukraine.
