Vlad Sklyar, Ph.D. is President of GTI. He is the principal inventor/developer of the gyrotron beam technologies, and the innovative GLS autoclave-free glass lamination system.  In his career, spanning over thirty years,  he has held a pivotal role in the creation and commercialization of numerous cutting-edge industrial technologies.  Prior to founding the Company in 1998, he held a senior position at leading scientific institute in the former USSR, was a consultant  working at Los Alamos National Lab with the Department of Energy, and at the Naval Research Lab in Washington . He was awarded the prestigious State Prize, one of the highest awards for scientific achievements and their commercialization in the former Soviet Union.  A true renaissance man with accomplishments in politics, business and science, Dr. Sklyar is also a member of the Company’s Board of Directors.

Lian Sawires serves as the Company’s Vice President of Operations and Corporate Secretary. Ms. Sawires has a background both as an entrepreneur and a corporate executive and has extensive and diversified experience in business development, operations, training, and management.  Prior to joining the Company, Ms. Sawires held positions of increasing responsibility for a national management training organization and has founded and developed several companies.  She holds a BBA from Hofstra University.

Michael Shevelev, Ph.D. is the Company’s Technology Director. He is a technical projects manager with seventeen years’ experience in the physics of gyrotron/materials interaction, commercialization and technical team leadership. Dr. Shevelev participated as a team member with Dr. Sklyar’s original gyrotron research team. Following this, Dr. Shevelev headed up the Microwave Processing Department of the Paton Welding Institute in Kiev, Ukraine.
