Bensalem, PA ---Gyrotron Technology, Inc. announced today that its glass lamination demonstration center is now operational. The center demonstrates GTI’s newly developed technology for producing laminated glass with standard, commercially available films and without the use of an autoclave.
The patented technology and equipment provides continuous production of laminated architectural glass of many types and sizes. Additional benefits include reductions in capital, labor, energy and floor space costs.
The demonstration line can process up to 36” x 66” (915mm x 1675mm) flat glass samples. Commercial lines, available in early 2009, will be offered in standard US and European sizes as well as custom sizes.
The glass industry has long awaited a high-productivity autoclave-free laminating system. Accelerated changes in building regulatory standards in many countries and glassmakers’ drive to improve their margins through productivity, now more than ever, have made this a timely introduction.
