Gyrotron Beam Ultra-rapid Curing

Using the Gyrotron Beam's selective heating capability the catalyst can be heated to a high temperature, much higher than the polymer, causing fast curing. Curing in seconds can be achieved for some kinds and thicknesses of polymers. The Gyrotron Beam’s “cold" curing process results in a high degree of cross-linking, creating product durability, high tensile and impact strength.

Heat treatment processes for plastics, composites, prepregs, adhesives and other polymer-based materials benefit from the technology. Process speeds and product integrity improved, massive heaters (furnaces, dies, etc.) eliminated, production costs lowered, shelf/pot life extended, product quality increased. Even large size and complex-shaped parts are ideal candidates for gyrotron processes.
